Access is a public transportation agency dedicated to providing quality transportation for people with disabilities in Los Angeles County. Eligibility for Access is based on your ability to use accessible buses and trains in Los Angeles County.
New Specialty Care Appointments
Eligibility is not based solely on whether you have a disability. Food vendors participating at a community event that operate in conjunction with a Certified Farmers' Markets must obtain a TFF permit from Specialized Food Services Program, Food Trucks and Carts with a current Los Angeles County permit, if approved by the event organizer, may participate at any community event and no additional permits are required. Our appointment staff can provide services in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Our financial aid and registration staff can work with you to see if you are eligible to be seen. If you do not have insurance, our Financial Counselor may be able to enroll you in an insurance program. We are able to see patients without insurance, but costs would then be paid out of pocket.
Food Trucks
A Community Event Organizer permit is required for anyone who organizes a community event that sells or gives away food or beverages to the public. Examples of community events include street fairs and festivals, musical and artistic presentations, sporting events, ethnic celebrations, and trade shows. Community Events are limited to no more than 25 days in a 90-day period and must be is civic, political, public, or educational in nature. DotHouse Health is Boston’s leading community health center and has been accredited by the Joint Commission and received the highest level recognition from the National Center for Quality Assurance. When you receive services at DotHouse Health, you can be certain that you are receiving the highest quality healthcare available. Our health center offers evening and weekend appointments and our Urgent Care Department is open seven days a week.
It is important to us that you have the time that you need with your doctor. Patients under 18 years of age who require Urgent Care can be seen 7 days a week. If you do not have insurance, one of our Financial Counselors can work with you to enroll you in a program. We are able to see clients without insurance, but in that case, costs must be paid out of pocket.
Codman Square Health Center’s LGBTQ+ support group offers youth a safe space where you can express your feelings and thoughts, and create ideas and projects that you feel passionate about. Please be prepared to share the reason and goals for your visit during your call. This will help us identify the appropriate length of time for your visit.

A Temporary Food Facility (TFF) permit is required for vendors that sells or provides food or beverages at a temporary event. If a vendor operates more than one booth at an event, a permit must be obtained for each booth location, and separate applications must be submitted. If a vendor is operating at more than one event in Los Angeles County, each location must be permitted separately. This requirement applies to all TFF permit types, including single event permits and annual permits. Changes of ownership for any business must contact the program or district office to schedule an inspection to determine if the business is in compliance with appropriate health and safety codes.

Shannon grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, and received her BA in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley. After college, she worked as an Emergency Department Scribe before attending medical school at Albany Medical College in New York. As a medical student, she engaged with the local community through service programs, such as one that provided young adolescent mothers with community resources, classes, and mentorship. She also pursued a Distinction in Bioethics, where she learned more about bioethical principles and reproductive ethics. She fell in love with family medicine because of the longitudinal relationships she could build with patients and the broad scope of care that tend to both individual patients and the communities. She is very excited to train at BMC, where she could continue to pursue her passions of bioethics, reproductive justice, health equity, and community health.
